Office of Research and Sponsored Programs - (UW-Whitewater)
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) provides information and assistance to UW-Whitewater faculty and staff in identifying funding in support of scholarship and program development, and can also assist in the writing of proposals. All funding request proposals made by UW-Whitewater faculty and staff to any outside agency must be approved by the ORSP before submission.

Sponsored Program Information Network (SPIN) - (InfoEd International)
The advanced search option allows you to set many criteria for a search, such as award types and geographic restrictions. Results include sponsor information, deadlines, eligibility and funding information, and more.

Funding Information Center - (Marquette University)
The Center at Marquette University has information on Wisconsin's private foundations, a directory of all private foundations in the country, and more. The Center is free and open to the public; a photo ID is needed for a day pass. Materials do not circulate.
Grants Information Center - (UW-Madison)
UW-Madison's Center, located in Memorial Library, has information on Wisconsin resources for funding, as well as funding sources for individuals and resources for non-profit organizations. Links to this information are provided through their website. The Center is free and open to the public; a photo ID with a current address is needed for a visitor's pass. Materials do not circulate.

The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance
A huge database of federal assistance programs. Eligibility requirements and information on the application and award process, as well as other necessary information, are provided. (Latest print edition is also available in Andersen Library in Federal (U.S.) Documents Stacks, call number: PREX 2.20.)
Federal Register
The Federal Register is "the official daily publication for rules, proposed rules, and notices of Federal agencies and organizations." These notices include grant information, such as application deadlines. Search tips are provided. (Volumes for 1994-2009 are online. Print volumes from December 1994-present are also available in Andersen Library in the Federal (U.S.) Documents Stacks, call number: AE 2.106; and volumes from 1986-November 1994 are available in the Reference Microform Room, call number AE 2.106: .)

National Science Foundation - Funding
The NSF funds research and education in science and engineering. The website provides information about their funding opportunities, proposal preparation, deadlines, etc.
Office of Extramural Research - (National Institutes of Health/U.S. Department of Health and Human Services)
Information on grants and funding available through the NIH.

The Carnegie Corporation was founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1911. Program guidelines and funding restrictions for grants are provided.
