The Curriculum Collection, located on the main floor of Andersen Library, supports coursework and research dealing with K-12 curriculum objectives as well as children's and young adult literature. The Curriculum Collection contains a representative collection of prek-12 instructional materials, including children's and young adult fiction and non-fiction, models, kits, games, children's CDs and DVDs, K-12 textbooks, tests, and curriculum guides. While it primarily serves the educational and instructional needs of pre-service teachers, the materials in the collection are also used by faculty and students of several departments, in-service teachers and the general public.
University and community patrons are invited to use the Children's Collection - children's fiction, non-fiction, CDs, DVDs and games - with children under their supervision. Child-sized library furnishings, beanbags, colorful activity rugs, and the lively decor of the Collection create a unique space within the Library adapted to our youngest patrons. In addition, schools and other organizations are invited to bring groups of children the Collection by contacting Ellen Latorraca, Education Librarian, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 262-472-5525.
