Flip Video Cameras
Flip digital camcorders are available for University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students, faculty and staff to check out and use. Why might you want to use one? Before checking out a camera or related items all patrons must agree to the following rules and agree to abide by the Library Camera Use Policy. This "Flip Camera Responsibility Agreement" form must be signed and dated the first time each semester that a patron checks out a camera. The library, however, reserves the right to revoke this privilege at any time.
- Valid UW-Whitewater Student, Faculty, or Teaching Academic Staff ID and state ID or driver's license is required for checkout.
- Patrons must not have library fines and fees in excess of $10.00 or recalled materials.
- One camera per person.
- Cameras may not be reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
- Cameras must have all video erased before returning and must be full charged.
- Cameras can be checked out for up to 7 days. No renewals.
- Patrons must adhere to copyright regulations regarding software and internet usage.
- Patrons will be held liable for replacement charges for lost or damaged equipment (see below).
The Library is not responsible for any damage to user's secondary storage (CDs, Floppy Disk, ZIP Disk, etc.) or loss of data due to malfunctioning library hardware/software.
Do not leave the CAMERA unattended.

Library Camera Use Policy
Library Cameras are for library applications and educational purposes only. Use is limited to holders of valid university identification.
- Software may not be added, changed, or deleted.
- All video must be deleted from the camera before returning it.
- Cameras must be returned fully charged.
- Display of pornographic images or use of inappropriate language may constitute student misconduct or sexual harassment that is subject to university disciplinary action and prosecution under the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
- Recreational use of cameras and other inappropriate behavior are not allowed.
- Food or drink is not allowed near cameras.
Violators of this policy may lose library privileges, be barred from entering the library, and/or reported to the police.
Overdue Fines
- Cameras are fined $5.00 (each) per day overdue.
- There is a Non-Refundable $25.00 processing fee for each item that is added after 1 day overdue.
