March Displays
- Helen Constance White (lobby): This display is in honor of Women's History Month (March). Helen C. White served as president of the American Association of University Women and was a professor at UW-Madison. Images in the display are available from the Wisconsin Electronic Reader. More information about the life and career of Helen Constance White, "the purple goddess," is available from UW-Madison's College Library.
- Children's literature displays (1st floor in front of the Media Center and flat cases on 2nd floor lobby in front of the library entrance) are provided by students in the College of Education's Children's Literature course taught by Professor O'Brien.

- Einstein/Physics (lobby): 2005 is the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's "Miracle Year" and the United Nations has declared 2005 the International Year of Physics. More information is available at http://www.wyp2005.org/internationalyear.html and Einstein: Image and Impact, an online exhibit from The Center for History of Physics, American Institute of Physics.

RefWorks Trial
Looking for an easier way to produce your works cited page?The UW-Whitewater campus has the opportunity to try out RefWorks bibliographic management software until the end of April 2005.
There is a link to RefWorks on the left-side purple sidebar on the Library's homepage. Users must register for an account (free). Students or faculty wishing to use the software from off campus need a group code to login. Please contact the Reference Desk librarians for assistance at 262-472-1032.

Database News
- Communication Mass Media Complete (CMMC) is now a subscription (EBSCOhost). - Off-Campus access requires UW-W login
- CMMC had been available free for 2004. As of January 2005, the database Communication Abstracts was discontinued.
- New! International Medieval Bibliography (IMB) - Off-Campus access requires UW-W login
- This is the major index to medieval studies (c. 400-1500), including citations to articles in approximately 4500 journals and "miscellany" volumes (conference proceedings, essay collections and Festschriften).
- As of June 30, 2005, the database PAIS International, a public policy resource, no longer will be available via FirstSearch.
- Science Online has been discontinued.
