Lists of currently available journals, including dates of coverage, are available for the three collections to which the University Library subscribes:

Coverage starts from the first volume in most cases. The current issues of these journals are not available in the database, as JSTOR's publisher agreements include a "moving wall", a fixed period of time ranging from 2 to 5 years, that defines the gap between the most recently published issue of any journal and the date of the most recent issue available in JSTOR. This is to give publishers protection from the threat of lost revenues from subscribers cancelling their current subscriptions.

Faculty, staff and students needing issues of journals not covered in JSTOR should check the Journal Holdings List to see if and where the UW-W holds the needed issue. Many of the current issues of JSTOR journals are available through Project MUSE or aggregator databases.
