Course Reserves
What are Course Reserves?
Professors reserve materials for the students in their courses to ensure that they are available for the students to use. These materials may be available in hard copy or online (eReserve). Hard copy materials, such as books and videos, must be used in the library. eReserves materials, such as periodical articles and book chapters, may be accessed from any Internet accessible computer, whether on or off-campus
Why Use the Course Reserves Search?
The Course Reserves search quickly locates materials set aside for students by their Instructors. Common types of materials put on reserve are periodical articles, book chapters, videos, textbooks, and answer sheets.
When searching for reserves, it is extremely important to know the name of the document you want, and at least one of the following:
- Instructor's name
- Course number and name
- Department number and name
Caution: Materials on eReserve frequently cannot be located using the Basic Search mode, the Course Reserves mode MUST be used.
