Yippee! You Have Finished the Relevance Module!

If I don't find what I'm looking for, what can I do?

Before you give up, you may want to:

  • Check the spelling of your search terms
  • Omit all punctuation
  • Use the plus sign (+) to denote an essential term
  • Remember you CANNOT use and, or, or not to connect words or terms
  • Broaden the search by truncating one or more of the words
  • Broaden the search by removing or changing limits
  • Check to make sure there are beginning and ending quotes for phrases
  • (Current faculty, staff and students only) Try UB or ILL
  • Ask a Reference Librarian for help

Other modules that may be of interest:

  • To learn how to export your results, try the Print/Save/Email Options module
  • To learn how to revise or repeat previous searches, go to the Search History module
  • To learn how to limit your search by date, type of media, language, or location, go to the Limits module.
