The Item Record

Item Record example

The first half of the Item Record provides you with information about the item itself, such as what type of material it is, who published it, etc. Clicking on the Full View button provides you with additional information. Notice the Relevance bars, they only appear after you have done a search by relevance. The full five bars indicate that the catalog algorith determined that this book is very likely to be on your topic.

The second half of the item record, below the line, provides the information needed to find it in the Library. Both the location and call number are needed to find materials in the Library. This book is in the Main Collection under call number RC480 .T445 1983. It is Not Checked out, so it is on the shelf in the specified location. If it had been charged, Checked Out or Renewed and the due date would have appeared.

Clicking on the Titles button or link (not shown) returns you to the Titles List. Clicking on the New Search button link (not shown) takes you to a search screen.
