Checking Status of Requests

To check the status of an item requested from another UW system campus using Universal Borrowing, or a hold put on a UW-Whitewater item that was checked out by another patron, use your Personal Record. Scroll down to the Request Information section.

When an item has been successfully requested, the Status column for the record will at first have Accepted and the date and time when the request was placed. Then the message should then change to Printed, In Transit and Received each with an accompanying date and time.  Depending on the circumstances, there may be other messages as well. For example, occasionally, items cannot be lent because the item cannot be found at the lending library, in which case you will see a Missing or Lost message.  If this happens, check to see if another campus has a copy it can lend.

When requested materials arrive at the University Library, come in and check them out.  There is no need to wait to be notified via your campus email account. Either of these messages indicate an item is ready for check out: the Pick Up Location is Circulation; the Status is Received UWW

When done viewing your Personal Record, click on the Logout button at the top, or link at the bottom, of the page to prevent others from viewing this information.
