Why Do you Need to Know Your UW-W ID Number?
If you are looking for Course Reserve materials or eBooks from off-campus, it is important to use one of the following methods of accessing the Catalog. They route you through a Proxy Server that allows only UW-W students, faculty and staff to read these materials when they are available online.
Beginning on the Library homepage < http://library.uww.edu/ >:
- If you are looking for course reserves, click on the Find Reserves link.
- If you are looking for eBooks, such as those from NetLibrary, open the Library Catalog by clicking on either UW-W Catalog or Find Books, Videos, Documents, and then in the you lower part of the display click on Off-Campus Access to Electronic Resources.
At this point you will be prompted to enter your 7-digit UW-W ID (HawkCard) number and last name. Enter this information and click on the Submit button.
For assistance, contact a reference librarian at (262) 472-1032, by email or chat or in person at the Library's Reference Desk.
