Set More Limits & Limit Results

Clicking on either the Set More Limits or Limit Results button opens the Search Limits page, which displays the full range limit categories:

  • Language - what language is it in?
  • Location - where is it in the library?
  • Date - when was it published?
  • Medium - identifies the medium on which the item is produced
  • Item Type - identifies the content of the item
  • Place of Publication - where was it published?
  • Publication Status - this limit is used by library staff, so won't be gone into detail in this tutorial; it indicates whether a serial is still being published
