Advanced Search

This mode provides multiple text boxes for a search. This option also offers drop down menus to assist you in constructing a search. The features outlined below are discussed in more detail later in this module.

Features

• Multiple text boxes and drop-down menus for searchtypes
• Boolean operators (and, or, and not) in drop-down menus
• Truncation to broaden search
• Phrase searching to narrow search
• Limit keyword searching to a particular field (such as title, author, etc.)
• Retrieves a Title List of records in chronological order by publication date (newest first)
