Two Thumbs Up for the Library's Movie Collection

It's summer ... time to relax and catch a few flicks. The Library's collection of popular movies is a great place to start. Here's a sampling of the movies you'll find:

  • Oscar winners: Beautiful Mind, Brokeback Mountain, Boy's Don't Cry, Chicago, Lord of the Rings, Million Dollar Baby, Rain Main
  • Kids' movies: Antz, Curious George, Pocahontas
  • Classics: Apocalypse Now, Planet of the Apes, Rebel Without a Cause, To Kill a Mockingbird
  • History: Amistad, Luther, Master and Commander, Schindler's List
  • International: Cyclo, Dias de Santiago, The Importance of Being Earnest, Purple Butterfly

This catalog search will find all the feature films in the Library's collection. Most movies are kept in the Media Center on the 1st floor of the Library, but the newest ones are at the New Book Island on the 2nd floor. Movies (DVD or VHS) may be checked out for two weeks. If you'd like to suggest a movie or book for the Library's collection, just fill out our suggestion form. Popular movies are funded by the Library's fines and fees account.
