Catalog of United States Government Publications

The Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP) is the finding tool for electronic and print publications from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. government. This is also known as the National Bibliography of U.S. Government. The CGP contains descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. The CGP is the online counterpart of the Monthly Catalog of United States Government Publications.

CQ Electronic Library
Created and hosted by CQ Press, the CQ Electronic Library (CQEL) is the definitive reference resource for research in American government, politics, history, public policy, and current affairs. A wealth of CQ Press resources and years of journalistic and editorial expertise are combined in CQEL (pronounced SEE´quell). It also offers a range of tools for discovering, understanding, and making use of its authoritative content.

Covers all types of U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments (Defense, State, Labor, Office of the President, etc.). LexisNexis Congressional
Includes legislative histories for public laws and testimony from congressional hearings. Track bills and search the Congressional Record and Federal Register, and locate information about congressional members and committees. Also includes the U.S. Serial Digital Collection, 1789-1969: House and Senate documents and reports, Senate executive reports, and Senate treaty documents.

Military & Government Collection (EBSCOhost)
Designed to offer current news pertaining to all branches of the military and government and provides cover-to-cover full text for more than 300 journals and periodicals. The database also includes full text for 245 pamphlets and offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 450 titles. Some publications covered in this database include are Air Force Controller, Army Reserve Magazine, Defence Studies, Global Security Review, Joint Force Quarterly, Military Technology, National Review, Defense, Combat Edge, FBI Law Enforcement Bulletin, Foreign Affairs, Naval Forces, and many more. Military Library FullTEXT provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 350 periodicals. The database also includes full text for 245 pamphlets and offers indexing and abstracts for over 380 magazines.

Political Science Complete (EBSCOhost)
Political Science Complete provides full text for over 400 publications. PSC features more than 165 full-text reference books and monographs and over 27,000 full text conference papers, including those of the International Political Science Association.

Statistical Abstract of the United States
FREE
This database is a summary of statistics on the social, cultural, political, and economic organization of the United States. It includes a selection of data from many sources including the Census Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bureau of Economic Analysis, and other Federal agencies and private organizations.

WestlawNext
WestlawNext is an online legal research tool designed and built especially for undergraduates and other non-law students. It is an abridged version and allows retrieval of cases and legal documents from both federal and state sources.
