Andersen Library Hours

Location

The Area Research Center, Special Collections and University Archives are located on the first floor, lower level of the Andersen Library, which is in the Andersen Library building next to parking lot 12 off of Prairie Street. Andersen Library is located at 800 West Main Street (between Prince Street and Prairie Street) in Whitewater, WI.

The Andersen Library building is somewhat complicated because Andersen Library is not the only entity in the building and there are building entrances on two levels. Building entrances are numbered. The best entrances to use to reach Andersen Library are number 3 on the east side of the building through the courtyard (then go up the stairs or use the elevator to get to the Andersen Library main doors) or number 12 on the west side of the building, which is on the same level as the Andersen Library main doors (second floor).  Once inside the library, use an internal staircase or elevator to get to the first floor, lower level.  The Area Research Center, Special Collections and University Archives is located in Room 1230.

Driving Directions and Parking

Parking on Campus
Visitors to the UW-Whitewater campus can either park at a metered parking spot or obtain a visitor/guest parking permit from Parking Services, which is located in the Visitor Center on Starin Road. A parking permit will allow you to park in any parking space which is not metered or reserved.
