Search Techniques
In the Basic Search mode there are two Search By methods that are truly searches:
In the Advanced Search mode every Search By method is a keyword search, most limited to certain fields.
Searches produce a Title List of works in the Library containing the search terms anywhere in the records.
- Keyword searches automatically produce a Title List in reverse date order (newest on top)
- Relevance searches automatically produce a Title List ordered by the importance of where the search terms are in the record and how many of them occur (more about this later).
Limits may be applied to searches.
