How to Look Up Groups as Authors

  1. From the Search By menu, select Author* - last name first by clicking on it.
  2. Type a corporate name in the Search For box. When looking up a group as author, or "corporate name," such as an association, company, conference, symposium, meeting or government agency, do not invert the name as you would with a personal name. Type in enough of the first part of the name to distinguish it, it is not necessary to type in the whole name. Omit all punctuation except hyphens. Letters from non-English languages may be replaced with the nearest English equivalent and diacritical marks are not needed.
  3. Click on .

For example, a search by author for wisconsin department will return a list of names beginning with Wisconsin. Department of Natural Resources.
